Despite the positive comments about the game, many users complain about technical problems, especially in multiplayer mode. This is what we know according to Reddit, some PS5 players have been able to obtain the complete reimbursement of Civilization VII. One of the users published a part of the chat with the PlayStation Assistance Service, where they approved the refund. While other players have confirmed satisfactory refunds, some have reported rejections. This creates an ambiguous situation, since Sony usually fully fulfills its refund policy. In general, it is almost impossible to obtain the reimbursement of a playstation game, but some people have achieved it. Many of the complaints refer to the multiplayer mode, which often suffers errors, hangers and lack of synchronization among the players. A player said he was unable to complete more than 20 movements in several sessions due to constant technical problems. At the same time, the mode for a player is more stable, and some users reported that they could enjoy the game without significant falls.
